Senior Programme Officer – Climate Energy and Nature Initiative
Roles and Responsibilities WWF-India is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to contribute to and deliver on WWF-India’s Climate, Energy and Nature Initiative, which focuses on climate innovation, promoting productive rural renewable energy and climate policy. The incumbent is expected to have the ability to multi-task and display a strong result-oriented approach.

- Develop and contribute to program activities, conduct research and technical analysis related to climate change and energy such as climate innovation, scaling up of productive renewable energy, energy efficiency, low carbon development, renewable energy impacts on biodiversity, etc.
- Develop policy/advocacy strategies related to energy and climate change issues at the state and national level
- Contribute to field projects/activities on renewable energy promotion and improved energy access, and assist in scaling up of field initiatives
- Organizing workshops/meetings, preparing background documents and other relevant documents for wider dissemination and outreach
- Responsible for meeting technical and financial reporting requirements for projects, as well as contribute to project related activities ongoing through the Energy Climate Nature Initiative
- Master’s Degree in Energy/ Climate Science/ Environmental Science/ / Natural Sciences or related disciplines, from a recognized university,
- M. Tech. in Energy/ Environment Engineering/ climate change or related disciplines, from a recognized university
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the area of Energy, Innovation and Climate Change
- Experience of working with stakeholders in the Government and industry, especially small and medium enterprises and start-ups
- Knowledge and proven experience of proposal and technical report writing shall be an added advantage
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Good communication, project execution & planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to multi-task and display a strong result-oriented approach
